🍁 A Thanksgiving Message to Every Woman on a Healing Journey 🍁
By Krisleen Jones — Empowerment Photographer & Coach
As the holidays arrive and the world shifts into celebration mode, I find myself reflecting not just on blessings — but on bravery.
This season, I am grateful for the women who choose healing.
For the women who are tired of hiding… yet show up anyway.
For the women who’ve been told they’re “too much” or “not enough”… yet are learning to love themselves again.
For the women rebuilding after heartbreak, betrayal, loss, or years of feeling invisible… yet still dare to believe there is more to life than survival.
If that is you — I am grateful for you.
Thanksgiving can be beautiful, but it can also be heavy. Family dynamics, old wounds, comparison, insecurity, and the pressure to “look happy” can make this time of year feel complicated.
So this year, I want to offer you a different kind of gratitude:
✨ Gratitude for your courage — not just when life is good, but when it’s hard.
✨ Gratitude for your softness — in a world that sometimes rewards numbness.
✨ Gratitude for every tiny step toward self-love — even if it’s messy, imperfect, or slower than you hoped.
Healing isn’t loud.
Sometimes it looks like saying no.
Sometimes it’s asking for help.
Sometimes it’s crying in the bathroom, then wiping your mascara and walking back out.
Sometimes it’s simply choosing to believe that you deserve more — even before you know what “more” looks like.
If you are on that journey… I am celebrating you today.
💛 A Thanksgiving Affirmation
Repeat this softly to yourself today — and mean every word:
I am worthy of love, rest, joy, pleasure, and peace — not because I’ve earned it, but because I exist.
You do not need to shrink yourself to fit into old expectations.
You do not need to apologize for becoming a happier, healthier, more confident version of yourself.
You do not need permission to take up space.
As we head into the rest of the holiday season, I hope you give yourself one gentle gift:
The freedom to be who you truly are.
Whether that means embracing family time, choosing quiet solitude, starting a new tradition, or letting go of old ones — your happiness, your comfort, and your emotional safety matter.
I am endlessly grateful for every woman who allows me to walk alongside her transformation — whether through coaching, a photo shoot, or simply a conversation that reminds her she’s not alone.
From my heart to yours…
Happy Thanksgiving.
May this season bring peace, confidence, and a deeper love for yourself. 🧡
