Boudoir FAQs: Part 1

So, you’re considering participating in a boudoir photoshoot. That’s fantastic! But, you may have some questions before signing along the dotted line. We’re happy to help clarify any questions or concerns you may have! Below are a few of our most commonly asked questions, and our answers… if you think of any other questions, all you have to do is ask 😉

Q: “I’m really nervous. Is that normal?”

A: Yes, darling; it is completely normal to be nervous before your boudoir session. In fact, being a little nervous is expected! Don’t worry. Most of our clients are nervous before their shoot, especially for their first one. Usually, the nerves don’t go away until about 15 minutes into the shoot! The longer you are in front of the camera, the more you get used to it; and before you know it, you’ll loosen up. If you’re afraid that you’ll still be nervous, or you feel more nervous than the average client, we have a list of relaxation techniques in our newsletter, and we can forward that to you any time.

Q: “What if I don’t know how to pose?”

A: Knowing how to pose is not a requirement for clients before coming in! We have worked with clients of all shapes and sizes for years, and know the best poses for Goddesses of all walks of life. If you have a specific vision for your photoshoot in mind, you are more than welcome to look on sites like Pinterest for inspiration, as long as you understand no two poses can be replicated exactly the same. Come with as much or as little information as you prefer, and we’ll help fill in any gaps.

Q: “Will the photoshoot include hair and makeup?”

A: Yes, lovely, we include hair and makeup in the boudoir experience! In fact, we require all our Goddesses to have hair and makeup done in house. Having our qualified hair and makeup stylist complete your hair and makeup for you has all sorts of benefits, mainly ensuring your look is posh, cohesive, and free of mistakes that may come about from pre-photoshoot jitters. Most importantly, having your hair and makeup done by us gives you the pampering you deserve before you show yourself off.

Q: “Am I allowed to drink alcohol during the photoshoot to loosen my nerves?”

A: You are more than welcome to imbibe, as long as you are over the age of 21. We like to offer champagne to our clients the day of the shoot to celebrate the big step in the boudoir journey, we just ask you to drink responsibly. Too much alcohol can lead to accidents and messes, and it can show in the finished product with droopy eyes or lackluster poses.

Have a question that’s not listed here? Worry not, doll; we have a second list of FAQs coming out next week! Or, you can contact us directly, and we can answer it for you.
