Boudoir FAQs: Part 2

Welcome to part two of our boudoir FAQs! We hope you learned a few things in last week’s email, and that you are excited to learn more! Read below to continue your journey as a boudoir expert, and if you think of a question not listed, let us know! 🙂

Q: “What should I wear… Do you provide the wardrobe?”

A: We strongly encourage you to bring your own wardrobe for your photoshoot to ensure you have enough clothing in your preferred size, style, and color. However, we have back up articles of clothing/accessories in our client closet that we can use to enhance your look; or, supplement a piece if one of your outfits rips, gets dirty, or needs a little something extra.

Q: I’m doing this photoshoot for my partner as a gift, but I’m not sure the best way to give it to them. What do you recommend?

A: We have a few different options for sexy gifts that are more fun and creative than a few sexy polaroids. In the past, we have made canvases, calendars, and journals; but our most popular gift incorporating sexy photos is one of our albums. You choose the size, photos, and color, and we lay out the images digitally. This isn’t your grandmother’s scrapbook either… We have samples we can show you, and can talk more about your needs at your consultation! However, I always recommend the album, as it is compact, sleek, sexy, and discreet.

Q: “What do I need to bring to my boudoir session?”

A: Get your packing list ready! When preparing, we ask you to bring at least six to eight outfits (but don’t be afraid to bring more! The more you bring, the more options we have). When packing your outfits, along with your lingerie, be sure to bring one of your partner’s button up shirts! If you want a themed photoshoot, bring along props as well (nerd gear, career-themed props, sports equipment, etc.). It’s also a good idea to bring along a few pairs of sexy shoes, some stockings, jewelry, clear deodorant, and your own personal makeup/hair products, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

Q: “Do you edit the pictures after the photoshoot?”

A: All of your images will be professionally edited prior to your photo reveal. Our editing team will do small touch ups with the goal of highlighting your most fabulous features, while still making you look recognizable. If you have any features you prefer highlighted, or any features you would prefer to hide, please let us know. We will ensure the editing team emphasizes what you want seen and mutes your less preferred features.

Q: “Do you do outdoor boudoir sessions?”

A: If you are looking to do some of your boudoir photoshoot outside, we will make it work! We do have some great locations outside, including vintage cars, a cute outdoor potting shed, and you can’t beat those Colorado skies! We have done sections of boudoir shoots outdoors for some of our clients in the past, however, most of our clients prefer to take less risque photos while shooting outside. Whatever your comfort level is, let us know, and we will help you achieve your boudoir dreams.
